I've a big big problem with my father's health: cancer..... You know..... it's really a big problem and now I 've just a little time for my Blog ....
.....but sewing and browsing your blogs it's important for me, to remember myself there's always something better round the corner....

Hallo to everybody!!!
I'm back again....
I've had some problems but for now all it's ok!!
I've ordered a fabric , a Toile fabric, on E-bay and last week it's arrived...
I'm very happy 'cause it's really what I was dreaming of.
I've covered the lamp-shade beside my bed and now I'm sewing the two big cushions for the bed.....
You know ..I'd like so much red and withe all year long!

Like some of you, I often travel around the World via armchair: I pore over magazines looking for ideas for new projects for my house...for the garden, for my friends...

I'm delighted browsing through pages and dream of.....

This year I've subscribed to Romantic Homes and Victoria, from USA while the British ones arrive punctually every month to my international bookstore!

In my next post I'll show you what arrive to me .... I'm so excited!!!!

Hallo my dear friends, here my bedroom this morning....it's a pleasure to stay in the bad, enjoying the breakfast.... and new magazines ! Yesterday I've finished my last cushion cover: as a present for myself I've bougth a vintage image CD on E-bay... the flowers are fantastic and I've done that..with some scraps of fabrics and linen from my Grandma

......and this is my first stocking: I'm not really enthusiast... some sewings are not so good.. but ...it's the first..not the last!!!

the red and white dotted cups are from last year: I've found five little coffee cups in a picnic basket : they're in good condition...!

My first Christmas present.....

My first Christmas present is arrived!!!!
......do you remember the chocolate cake with roses?
well: this is what I've got from my friend Francesca.
FOUR very old gretings cards with flowers... you know I'm an avid collector..
they're so beautiful, with a past feeling....





This days are very busy... lots of things to do and no more time!!
In Italy we celebrate the evening of the 24th with a family dinner...
this year we would be 11 people and I'm the official chef !...like every year!!!!!
I'm devoted to choose the menu, (together with my sister), the table setting and decorations.
My house is too small so we'll stay to my sister flat that is much larger than mine.. she live close to me.. same landing. so it's easy!!!!

Hallo my dear friends, so many days without posting, but it has been a very hard week for me!
Now Christmas is really coming and I'm baking some pies as a present for friends !!!!! this is "La diablo", I think it could be " The devil" in English.
It's made by dark chocolate, eggs, nuts and a little bit of flour....It's very chewy and flavoured. I've put on the top some very little pink and yellow roses from my garden, as decoration!!!

MY SWEET CAT...........................

hallo my dear Bloggettes......
so many time without posting, but my cat is ill and....

today is passed.....my sister is a Vet and she assure me that Topino dont suffered anymore.
I prefer remember when it was on my bed catching the sun....

Today is not a good day.... it was with me by 7 years...

...This is the book from where I've seen the idea for the drapes, it's very cute with a lot of projects....
I've also done four cushions with a stripped roses fabric on the right side and four different scraps (red check, dots and stripes) for the back!! I've finished it with three satin bows on one side...

Voilà my new curtains.... a simple red and white checked fabric with a white pompom trim!!

It's the first time I'm sewing curtains and is very simple .....

I've take pattern from a lovely book called "SIMPLE SOFT FURNISHINGS" by K. Cargill .( I'm showing you soon.)

I'm really fulfilled about my Christmas house, when in the dark the candles light up it's very cozy and warm...

I've a small house and no space for a natural Christmas tree so this year I've bought an iron one from IKEA and I've decorate it with wooden heart, star shapes....
This very giant chandelier is made by iron too it has a shabby green patina , it's very heavy ...
All sorts of red and white cushions....

I'm still working on the red and white curtains for the living room...

FINALLY TODAY IS A SUNNY DAY!!!!!
We have hade quite a week of cloudy rainy days....
not too cold, but very wet.
This is the last petit-point cushion I've stitch in the summer: it match ok with the Cyclamen and the china cup....
